Flight to Denver but first the blog header change

Last night, my girlfriend looked at my blog and stated firmly, "You need to change the header picture!"  While the new header picture is really my son and I after finishing Grandma's Marathon a few years ago, I liked the image of the original photo, which was different from ours.

I am getting ready to board Frontier Airlines for the second time in seven days, heading to Denver. It will be odd leaving work for 11 work days in a row, which has not happened since 2001. I was off for 8 days in 2008 and, since then, at most 5 days.

Original Blog header Photo.  The rider on the left is listed as the father and on the right as the son.
I am unsure why Shelley Peterson Bourland hated the picture, but I changed it to make her happy.  I do not view the picture above negatively.  Anyone knows the story of the man on the left; he is a solid biker.  The image is deceiving.  While I am still determining if I will outperform my son on the bike on this trip, I intend to hold my own.  But then again, we should not judge one's ability on appearance.

The only certainty I have about the trip is that there is so much uncertainty. I take that with excitement, but I would lie if I said there is no fear.
